The Founder Residency (Bangalore)
A one-week, in-person residency designed to place you close to the work of building:
How founders make decisions under constraints
What strong teams prioritize and what they ignore
How product, distribution, and capital intersect in real time
Residency is all-expenses covered for selected program participants.
Program Structure
Your Journey
Three phases designed to develop judgment, craft, and founder-first operating principles.
Phase I (12 weeks)
Foundations
A structured curriculum with weekly deliverables and feedback.
Deliverables
- 1 investment thesis + market map
- 10 structured screening notes
- 2 IC-style investment memos
- A maintained sourcing pipeline with documented learnings
Phase II (1 week, Bangalore)
Founder Residency
Immersive exposure to founder cadence and decision-making.
Deliverables
- 1 execution insight brief
- 1 revised IC memo incorporating feedback
- Final scout presentation + committee Q&A
Phase III (Invitation-only)
Scout Execution
Top performers may be invited to contribute to the MARL Accelerator Scout Team, based on demonstrated judgment and reliability.
Standards
How We Operate
We operate with institutional norms. Scouts are expected to uphold:
Founder information is protected without exception.
Conflicts are disclosed; work is attributed accurately.
Founders' time is scarce. Earn it.
Precision, clear thinking, and intellectual honesty.
Consistent weekly output and follow-through.
Who Should Apply
Ideal Candidate
Students (undergrad/grad/MBA) or within ~24 months of graduation
Communicate clearly and think in structured frameworks
Comfortable with proactive outreach and independent research
Can maintain a consistent weekly cadence
We do not optimize for resumes. We optimize for judgment and craft.

Program Participation Fee
₹25,000
An approved deal is a company you source that clears our internal review and results in an investment through MARL Accelerator and/or the StudioK Founder Residency platform.
When we invest in a Scout-sourced company, we refund the Program Participation Fee according to the schedule below, aligning incentives around outcomes, not activity.
First approved deal
₹10,000
will be refunded to the applicant
Second approved deal
₹15,000
will be refunded to the applicant
Full ₹25,000 refunded after two approved deals
1%
Scouts may receive participation in 1% of the GP's net returns on Scout-sourced, committee-approved investments, subject to applicable terms and realized outcomes.
All investments remain subject to Investment Committee approval.
